Caribbean Region - On Saturday, October 21st, the Youth of the Tropical Church of the Nazarene in the Dominican Republic made an impact on the community around where their Church has an on-going ministry. This ministry is the “Café of Herrera” where the NCM Project “Footprints” is located. Caribbean Region - The Barbados District NYI launched its website on the 1st of July, 2006 at one of its Quarterly Presidents meetings. These meetings with the local presidents along with the dissemination of information via the website are now the two main ways in which newer Nazarenes serving on their local church councils are brought up to scratch. Eurasia Region – This summer, 17 young people attended the first young adult leadership seminar for the Church of the Nazarene in Mücke, Germany, which focused on leadership as “A Challenge to Tackle!” The leaders, ages 17 to 32, represented local ministries throughout the Southwest Germany District.
Africa Region - The NYI Convention for the year 2006 will go down in the history of the Midland District to the glory of God. It can and will never be forgotten.The four day convention was held in a town called Gyedu (Ghana). The theme chosen for the camp was "TURNING FROM WANDERING". Over 120 people from 7 different churches attended the camp!
Africa Region - The Pioneer Area of Sao Tome and Principe is happy to report that on April 24- 26 the first NYI leadership seminar was held. Those Churches that participated were Ribeira Peixe with 2 leaders and Sao Tome Central with 4 leaders. There were leaders from the missions of Neves and Porto Alegre as well.
Also participating were District NYI President and Host Pastor Germano Silveira, and Pioneer Area Strategy Coordinator David W. Mosher. Africa Regional Youth Ministries Coordinator and Global NYI President, Rev Monte Cyr lead this conference.
